Biosolids Stockpiling Begins!
Beaver Municipal Solutions began hauling biosolids from the City of Edmonton to the two project sites in Beaver County on September 5th. The hauling will be done in the evenings and at night (4:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.), because of the City of Edmonton’s biosolids production schedule, and is expected to continue until the end of October.
All road use permits and highway safety requirements will be strictly followed. The Secondary Highway 854 North will be used with one route turning off at Township Road 504 and west to Range Road 174, and the other turning off onto Secondary Highway 626 west. Call 780-663-2038 with any questions about the project.
The Biosolids Demonstration Project: A Growing Opportunity is a partnership between local landowners, the City of Edmonton and Sylvis Environmental to demonstrate the beneficial reuse of dewatered biosolids from wastewater treatment processes in order to improve crop fertility in native hard-pack, solonetzic soils.
