At Beaver Municipal Solutions, we have always believed that putting the health and safety of our customers, staff and community members is our top priority. We are sharing some of the steps we’ve taken to protect our community, staff and customers during the unfolding of this pandemic.
Our first priority is the health and safety of everyone on our sites. We are closely monitoring the situation and are receiving public guidance from the Government of Alberta. Our first commitment to you, is that we will communicate any changes made to our operations that come as a result of this guidance.
By now we are all very familiar with the World Health Organization’s advice for protecting yourself and others— wash your hands frequently with soap or alcohol-based sanitizers, avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth, cover your mouth or nose when you sneeze or cough and maintain distance between yourself and others.
To help reduce the spread of this virus, we have closed our administrative offices to the public. Although our offices are not open, staff will continue to work remotely. If you need to reach someone, please call our main phone line at 780.663.2038 and leave a message with your name and phone number. We will regularly retrieving and returning calls. Alternatively, contact can be made to info@beavermunicipal.com.
All visitors, contractors and non-staff traffic to our landfill site, whether or not they are bringing in waste, will be required to check in at the Scale House. Staff have been training on preventative steps that include washing of hands and disinfecting frequently used items and surfaces such as two-way radios and door knobs. Social distancing will be practiced by our staff as per Alberta Health Services’ recommendation. We ask that you please respect our staff by giving them the required 2 metre space. An intercom has been installed at the Scale House so customers can interact with the Attendant while still maintaining social distancing.
Presently landfill and transfer station operating hours remain the same, however may be adjusted if staff become impacted. We will continue to monitor the situation and have an emergency response and pandemic plan in place to mitigate any impacts.
Please refer to our website (www.beavermunicipal.com) or Face Book page for regular updates regarding our planned response to COVID-19. If you have questions, please feel free to give us a call at 780.663.2038 and leave your name and number. We will call you back to answer your questions.
