The COVID-19 pandemic is continuing to develop. As such, we are constantly assessing our operations and adapting to best practices. It has been two weeks since Beaver Municipal Solutions instituted measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19. We are operating at full capacity and on our regular schedules at all of our sites. We will continue to follow protocols to help us remain operating throughout this ordeal as we have been designated an essential service to the residents of our local municipalities as well as the neighbouring regions. Any changes to our operations will be communicated to our customers through our website, on our Facebook page and this weekly article.
If you have any questions, please call our office at 780.663.2038 and leave a message on the voicemail. Staff will be retrieving these messages remotely, as we have closed our administrative offices to the public. All calls will be returned by the following business day.
Cash Acceptance is Temporarily Suspended
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are no longer accepting cash at any of our locations, effective immediately. Payments can be made by other methods, such as cheque, credit or debit.
The COVID-19 virus can survive on plastic surfaces, such as our newer Canadian bills, for up to 3 days. For the safety of our staff, we will no longer be accepting and handling cash.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We are working hard to ensure the safety of both our customers and staff throughout this pandemic.
Collection Truck Breakdowns
We have been having mechanical issues with several of our collection trucks. Rural pickups and roll-out bin pickup in the towns of Tofield and Viking were affected. We have been able to repair our roll-out collection truck and services were restored.
We still have another truck that is down and we are waiting for parts. With the global pandemic, the international shipping of parts is taking longer than normal. We were able to finish the collections on rural route #2 with our existing trucks. Hopefully we will be able to repair the truck before collections begin on rural waste collection route #1.
If there will be a delay in service, customers will be notified on our website and Facebook page. Please check there for updates. If you have questions, please call 780.663.2038 and leave a message, along with your name and number. Your call will be returned by the next business day.
Please stay safe in these uncertain times.
