COVID-19 Update – March 19, 2020

  • Social distancing recommendation is now extended to 2 meters from the original 1 meter.
  • Administrative staff continue to work remotely. If you need to reach us, please call 780.663.2038 and leave a message along with your name and number. Calls are retrieved and returned regularly. Alternatively you can leave a message at info@beavermunicipal.com.
  • An intercom has been installed at the scale house so you can interact with the attendant while still maintaining social distancing. The scale attendant can operate the intercom when you arrive. You only need to push the button (use your elbow to limit spread of germs) if the attendant has not noticed your arrival.
  • We have provided disinfected PPE (personal protective equipment) in a tote at the scale for our customers’ use. When finished with these items, place the PPE in the “used” tote. All PPE will be disinfected after every use.
  • We currently have some staff members away on sick leave. They are self-isolating as a precautionary measure.
  • Landfill and transfer station operations, as well as hauling and waste collections have not been impacted. We continue to provide service as usual.
  • Vendor visits remain restricted. Site visitors will be directed to our Health and Safety Officer for instruction on our site safety procedures especially any new COVID-19 precautions.
